Were we always on our own? I walk the city, so I'm not alone Dusk on Eden, setting out hearts alight So it ain't easy leaving, when you die One island For miles you can see the only one Dawn light, know it when you feel it Upon the horizon, call of a distant sun Tell me your holding on to something My courage is breaking I'm not so sure anymore I'll be waiting for a lifetime But I want to believe yo Want to be wrong What if no one's there to find And all the seasons they just pass us by The road deserted Silent as when we came I hope there's answers for you there some day One island For miles you can see the only one Dawn light, know it when you feel it Upon the horizon, call of a distant sun Tell me your holding on to something My courage is breaking I'm not so sure anymore I'll be waiting for a lifetime But I want to believe you Want to be wrong Summer time out on the hills
2.
You're not alone There's time we have to spare You're not alone There's time we have to spare My love Summertime out on the hills, with my love Summertime a moment still, come my love
3.
Dawn to night I’m lost in the motion Took the hit with one eye open Knowing you’d deceive me On and on but I’m going nowhere Swept me out adrift on the ocean But no one would believe me A face of hard defiance, I wrote your name in the stone It’s like the sun is magnified, until you go And now I know you’re out there Still my heart is beating that drum Don’t mind if I don’t know which way you’re going to Just tell me that you need me I won’t lie it’s bringing me down, bringing me down believe me A face of hard defiance I, wrote your name in the stone It’s like the sun is magnified, until you go And now I know you’re out there
4.
There was a time that we had Tell me now how you feel ‘Cause what we lost through the cracks Isn’t gone, disappeared So I hope for signs Any time I lie awake And though you’re tired of it all You said it’s alright to stay Una noche más There’s no reason to doubt Let them all wash away And let the sun take you down On the road to Santa Fé And as you read the signs Know I’ll always be there for you If what we had was enough To make it alright, tell me true Una noche más

Tarifa 05:14
I was like a satellite across the ocean Finding its way didn’t go back Not until the rest is gone a path is chosen And I’m in your hands So come with me as you are The wind over old Tarifa wild again Held in the hand of God I had a dream that I would take you there Under an Atlantic sky I’m crossing over Lucky as the thousand stars that line overhead Know they mean the same to me as your devotion It’s all that I have So come with me as you are The wind over old Tarifa wild again Held in the hand of God I had a dream that I would take you there So come with me as you are The wind over old Tarifa wild again Held in the hand of God I had a dream that I would take you there So where does it stop? All my love is open as a prayer So is it the one you want Or is it the one that passes by instead? I want you by my side Habrá un mundo nuevo, un mundo lleno de color Dime que tu vendrás, estaré esperándote yo Dímelo para tener en el alma el sol de la mañana Un cielo tan grande que no acabará Habrá un mundo nuevo Ya viene el sol Al fin de un siglo Ya viene el sol Al fin de un siglo

Green Eyes 02:38
You were my only delight My heart was stolen Weight on my mind It’s no use, I’m cornered Green eyes when you coming home? ‘Cause I, ‘cause I’m losing my head over it With you gone I want to know how it feels To take a part of your soul The hole in mine, replaced With part of your own Green eyes when you coming home? ‘Cause I, ‘cause I’m losing my head over it With you gone
7.
Don’t go hiding now Don’t go hiding now Whatever I’m owed I won’t let it go There’s something you stole But no one’s at home Don’t go hiding now There was a light that I followed A hole to the stars Bridges and tunnels winding through the dark I wasn’t sure of where to go my mind was racing And I heard a call in the air That was spoken in tongues If the words had a meaning I never knew what it was Walking the rooms and hallways searching every door Now all the light is gone Don’t go hiding now Don’t go hiding now No never let me go This hold is it magic? I’ll take what I’m owed But no one’s at home Don’t go hiding now I won’t forget that place and the things that I saw Bright mosaics stretching up the walls A thousand colours all like none I’d ever known And together they all fell back in the blink of an eye Cold cut through me and swept them out of sight Now I wait to walk the rest of my life in waiting Knowing that light is gone Don’t go hiding now Don’t go hiding now Whatever I’m owed I won’t let it go There’s something you stole But no one’s at home Don’t go hiding now
8.
So you’re telling me now it’s all wrong my love That the memory’s end is foregone, and done Still we walk for miles in my head To the blue dawn Moonlight assault my senses Anodyne for things I’ve lost Somehow I need no rest No alibi, for where I’m going If something is calling me back I can say, I can say I Was never alone Walking the silver beaches far from home From home The truth is I can’t forget you All this time, it’s been so long Part of me knows I am meant to Draw a line, and carry on But if you would only come back I can say, I can say I Was never alone Walking the silver beaches far from home From home So moonlight assault my senses Anodyne for things I’ve lost Somehow I need no rest No alibi, for where I’m going Though nothing is calling me back I can say, I can say I Was never alone, Walking the silver beaches far from home From home
9.
We had a place in that garden Walked in the sunshine and bathed in the water I’d show you the way again now But I lost the thread of the meaning Woke in the maze I’d forgotten what I came to say to you darling It wasn’t goodbye But the world’s moved on As our century ends And though we were parted I stand here before you again In the morning, sun in your eyes And it’s now that I see you My hand at the door You come up to meet me To take me on down through the halls Of your memories Dark and the light And we wait in the silence And talk for a while I’d missed the evening And I’d missed the times that you looked at me That way and didn’t look back, no But please don’t misunderstand me I would not change a thing Though I have questions unanswered And dreams I will never know So here I’m unanchored unbound At the edge of the forest I would not abandon you now At the crossing, through the dark In the storm, I’m alive Come now my sisters and brothers I’d shelter with you through the night We’ll be walking the sun up Until it’s gone
10.
I’m set loose on a ray of light If you follow me down Do you dare, Make your move when the time is right? ‘Cause when we figure it out We’re coming on over Ain’t no fire to the sun If you feel imprisoned Like the thoughts inside your head Don’t bait the cornered tiger Only thing that’s moving Like the walls are caving in I lose count of the days and nights Too long under the ground To care, For waking dreams of the world outside But when the river breaks out I’m coming on over Ain’t no fire to the sun If you feel imprisoned Like the thoughts inside your head Don’t bait the cornered tiger Only thing that’s moving Like the walls are caving in Who will save me now? If I could live that time again Won’t you save me now? If I could live that time again
11.
I walk like Adam Out into the land I walked for days If I’m mistaken Help me understand All the things that have changed So many people wandered the world We watch them leaving Riding on the wind Oh won’t you tell me where did they go? Was it to heaven Riding on the wind? The earth was covered Footprints in the sand Long gone away Now I remember Time is all we have So with you I stay So many people wandered the world We watch them leaving Riding on the wind Oh won’t you tell me where did they go? Was it to heaven Riding on the wind?

about

'Tarifa' is the sophomore album from UK singer-songwriter Blanco White. Named for southern Spanish province where the album was written, the record captures the magic and mysticism of the coast swept by Sirocco winds and looking out to North Africa. His music has long been influenced by time spent travellng in Spain and South America, as well as learning instruments (such as the charango) from local masters. 'Tarifa' has touches of flamenco guitar as well as Spanish language lyrics, along with the dreamy, acoustic vibe which Blanco White fans know well.
